The Founder's Story

James Reilly is a business English teacher with a passion for new technology and especially decentralized systems. He has been teaching and mentoring in various sectors for many years and became aware of the potential of blockchain technology through conversations with his students in the financial and technology sectors.

Paulo Bressan is a established software developer with extensive experience working on large scale blockchain projects. He has also founded and has brought to market various successful ecommerce applications. James and Paulo got together because of a passion for learning new things. Paulo was looking for a teacher to improve his English communication skills and James was becoming fascinated by the decentralization potential of blockchain technology.

After initial conversations they decided to exchange their skills, James invited Paulo to his workshops and Paulo practised his English by describing the basics of blockchain. From this first exchange of skills an idea emerged; the concept of transacting with services and expertise could be tokenized. Over the next year many discussions and discoveries took place and Paulo created tokens to represent James' English classes and then exchanged them for his own tokens representing his time as a developer.

The idea grew and more people with other skills joined the community, creating tokens representing their time and experience and exchanging them for English workshops or member presentations. James and Paulo saw the enormous potential of this tokenized marketplace for skills and experience and decided to create a platform to facilitate these transactions.

The discovery process uncovered many problems to be solved and James and Paulo realized that the concepts they had introduced were difficult to scale in practise. The idea evolved and after many conversations with business experts and strategists a new path was agreed on to improve adoption.
